Withdrawal policy
This policy should be read alongside our Deposit & withdrawal methods page.
1. Introduction
This policy explains how withdrawals work at Striven Steadex. By requesting a withdrawal, you confirm the destination account or wallet belongs to you and agree to the terms set out here.
It applies to every withdrawal method available on the platform, and the same standards apply regardless of the amount being withdrawn.
Withdrawal requests are handled by our support and payments teams and follow the same identity-verification standards described in our AML/KYC policy.
2. Available withdrawal methods
Withdrawals can be sent by PayID, back to the Visa or Mastercard used for a recent deposit, or by direct bank transfer to your nominated Australian bank account. The methods actually available to you may depend on how you deposited — see the full table on our Deposit & withdrawal methods page.
If a method used for deposit becomes unavailable for withdrawal for any reason, we'll contact you to arrange an alternative.
3. Processing timelines
Standard processing time ranges from instant (PayID) to 1-5 business days (card and bank transfer), depending on the method. Factors that can extend this include additional verification checks, public holidays, and delays on the receiving bank's side that are outside our control.
Public holidays in Australia can add a day or two to bank-dependent methods; this is disclosed at the time you submit a request if it applies.
We aim to begin processing every withdrawal request within one business day of receiving it, even where the full transfer takes longer to clear on the receiving end.
4. Fees and costs
We do not charge a fee for standard withdrawals. Any fee that does apply — for example, one charged by a third-party payment provider — is shown to you before you confirm the request.
We review our fee structure periodically and will always disclose a fee before it's applied to a specific transaction.
5. Withdrawal limits
Minimum and maximum withdrawal amounts can vary by method and by your account's verification level. Larger withdrawals may require additional identity verification in line with our AML/KYC policy before they're released.
Your account manager can confirm your current limits and what, if anything, would be needed to raise them.
6. KYC/AML checks
We may require updated identity or address documents before releasing a withdrawal, particularly for first withdrawals or unusually large amounts. This is a standard control, not a sign anything is wrong with your account.
These checks are proportionate to the size and pattern of the withdrawal and are not applied arbitrarily.
7. Reasons a withdrawal can be delayed or declined
Common reasons include: a mismatch between your account details and the destination account, outstanding or incomplete verification documents, indications of suspicious activity requiring review, or a technical or regulatory issue at the receiving institution. Where a withdrawal is delayed or declined, we tell you why and what's needed to proceed.
Where a delay is expected to be more than a few business days, we proactively update you rather than waiting for you to ask.
8. Your responsibility
You're responsible for making sure your bank and payment details are accurate and up to date. We are not responsible for funds sent to an incorrect account where the error resulted from details you provided.
If you notice an error in your saved payment details, update them in your account settings before submitting a withdrawal request, since correcting it afterwards can add delay.
9. Cancelling or changing a request
A withdrawal request can usually be cancelled or amended before it enters processing. Once a payment has been submitted to the payment provider or bank, it generally cannot be reversed or changed.
If you're unsure whether a request has already started processing, contact support before assuming it can still be changed.
10. Support
For questions about a specific withdrawal, contact [email protected]. Typical response time is usually under 5 minutes during support hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:30 AEST (excluding public holidays).
11. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in payment providers or applicable regulation. Updates take effect once published on this page.
We'll never apply a materially less favourable change to an already-submitted withdrawal request without telling you first.
